Conversion Library Plus: A Private Library for Converted Ami Pro Documents
Ami Pro correspondence becomes Word documents. Conversion Library Plus is how you find the letter again without opening every DOCX.

TL;DR
You converted the files. Now make them usable. Conversion Library Plus is your private library of the files you converted — search, preview, bookmark, and organize them on this PC. Nothing is uploaded. Standard converts .SAM to DOCX, PDF, and related formats. Plus unlocks the library in the same MSI with a Plus key ($29.95 one-time).
The brief is in Word. The sentence is still missing.
Ami Pro .SAM files were the working documents of a particular era: correspondence, internal briefs, papers with equations and diagrams that never made it into a modern DMS. Ami Pro Converter will write DOCX, PDF, RTF, HTML, Markdown, or plain text into an output folder on this PC. That is the conversion. What follows is the harder part.
Converted filenames often inherit the old Ami Pro titles. MEMO4, CHAP2, LETTER.DOC in spirit if not in extension. Six months later you remember a phrase from a reply, not the file that held it. Explorer will not search the set the way you need. The archive is converted and still opaque.
A private library of the documents you converted
You converted the files. Now make them usable.
Conversion Library turns your output folder into something you can search and navigate — without leaving this PC. Conversion Library Plus is your private library of the files you converted — search, preview, bookmark, and organize them on this PC. Nothing is uploaded. The private library window is a local inspector over folders you already produced. It does not host the documents and it does not send them anywhere.
Open it on this week’s Ami Pro output, or on an older tree from a previous batch. Saved libraries keep both on the rail: rename an entry so it reads like a matter or a manuscript, pin the one you are in, and remove a library from the list when that box of .SAM files is finished. The files stay on disk.
Full-text search over the converted set
The local full-text index reads converted DOCX, PDF, HTML, Markdown, and text. A quoted phrase such as "without prejudice" or a correspondent’s name will surface the letter that actually contains it. Refine narrows by type or folder when a common word returns too many hits.
Save the searches you will run again as named collections on that library. One click reapplies the query and any tag you stored with it. History records opens, indexes, conversion batches, saved-search runs, and review-pack exports on this PC, so you can see whether last month’s batch was already indexed.
Preview the page, bookmark the thread, follow related files
In-app preview tabs open a converted Ami Pro document without launching Word for every glance. Find-in-document stays in the tab. Bookmark the letters and chapters that still matter and put them in bookmark groups, "correspondence 1994," "chapter drafts," "exhibits", so the next session starts from a short list.
Tags and related files are local navigation: how documents on disk share a folder, a filename stem, or terms the index already extracted. They help you jump from a converted reply to the memo it answers. They are not an agent and they do not leave this machine.
A review pack for the pages someone else must read
When a colleague or a reviewer needs a subset: the hits for one phrase, the bookmarked chapter, a multi-select from search, export a review pack. The library copies those files, writes index.csv and summary.md, and leaves a folder you can hand over. The rest of the converted .SAM output stays where it is.
From Conversion Complete to Welcome back
When a batch finishes, Conversion Complete offers Open in Conversion Library for Plus: index the new files and focus this run. View output folder still opens Explorer. Always open Library after convert remembers the preference on this PC. The dialog stays visible so the counts and the checkbox remain in view.
Welcome back appears when you open the library without a folder: Resume library on the last or pinned Ami Pro output, or Browse folder. Standard users see the Plus promo and can still choose Just see the files. The library window waits for a Plus key.
Standard converts. Plus unlocks the library.
Standard converts the files. Plus unlocks Conversion Library so you can search and navigate what you converted. Same MSI, Plus key. Ami Pro Converter Standard remains the converter for .SAM. The Plus add-on is $29.95 one-time and unlocks the private library on this PC.
A single letter you already have open in Word may not need Plus. A box of converted correspondence you expect to search for years is the reason the library exists.
